We provide websites and blogs free of charge to our clients, but they are not free for us. We put lots of time and money into making all of this possible. This ministry operates on donations from concerned believers who want to help Christian ministries. It is our job to be sure that we are being good stewards of what the Lord provides. So we have developed these qualifications to our offer:
- Our help is intended for Christian churches or ministries that want to use the Internet as part of their Christian ministry or for promoting the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We cannot help with personal, commercial or non-Christian websites or blogs.
- Digital Ministries, Inc. in its sole discretion will determine if the intended use meets our basic requirements as being for Christian purposes. In making this determination, we consider Christian beliefs and purposes to be generally along the lines of what is reflected by our Statement of Beliefs.
- Initially, we rely on the information our new clients provide, but while the website is being setup and after it is in operation, we review the content for compliance with our Statement of Acceptable Use.
- There must be a genuine need for our help. We are supported 100% by donations and we must be good stewards of what is given to us. Therefore, we will remove any website that appears to be abandoned or not to serve the purpose for which it was created.
- Our help is limited to providing hosting and content management for websites and blogs located on our servers using our software in conjunction with our client’s contents.
- Based on our client’s stated purpose, their level of knowledge and available time, and the information they have available, we will help determine the best website or blog design and layout that we can make available for their use. We will also help prepare a plan for creating and maintaining the website or blog so that it accomplishes its purpose.
- Our servers are located in Kansas City and housed in a secure and environmentally controlled data center with multiple high-speed connections to the Internet. Data storage is regularly backed-up and all server hardware and software are regularly maintained. However, there is never any guarantee against possible service interruption or data loss. We do our best to work with our clients to keep their website or blog in full operation and fulfilling the purpose for which it was created.
- We operate all websites and blogs on a multi-user version of WordPress. We perform all initial website and blog setup using our software and client-supplied information.
- We have created or installed custom themes, templates and plug-ins to make our WordPress environment easy to use for non-technical volunteers or clergy. We will provide a reasonable amount of training and support to assist our clients in learning to operate their websites and blogs.
- In addition, if requested, we will provide reasonable content management services on a continuing basis to setup and maintain websites and blogs from client-supplied information.
- Individual Domain Names cost us about $20 per year. To help manage that cost, we have developed a way to provide free websites based on our master domain name: freshspirit.net. The domain name provided with our free website/blog offer will be your-name.freshspirit.net, where your-name is replaced by a name you choose. This name must be unique within our master domain name structure. We will be happy to use any domain name you control and can point to our servers, or we will purchase and maintain an individual domain name for you for a suggested donation of $20 per year.
- Sometimes things just don’t work out. So if, after prayerfully trying to meet your needs, we find that we can’t do the job, we reserve the right to say no. We want to spend our limited resources where they are doing some good.

Does bandwidth really make a big difference?
No, there is no bandwidth restriction. However, there is a restriction on commercial use.
