Jesus, the Son of God, entered our stinking cesspool of self-pity to become the Son of Man; so He could lead us to the cross, where our sin is freely exchanged for His righteousness, and where there is no guilt, no pride and no self-pity. The cross marks the way out of this cesspool of self-pity.
